Art Imitates Crime is a 5-piece musical assault hailing from Sydney,
Australia. The band blends metal, hip-hop and industrial genres in an
aggressive mix comparable to bands such as Rage Against The Machine, Faith No
More and the Deftones. Think One Minute Silence vs American Head Charge with a
sprinkle of Stuck Mojo thrown in and your on the right track. If that still
means nothing to you, as one punter called it: "it sounds like Rage Against the
Machine got down and dirty with Suicidal Tendencies, and this is the result!"
AiC have played support to such diverse acts as the TestEagles, Kyser, Many
Machines on 9, National Pornographic, Brace, Japunga, Tourettes & Karnivool, as
well as headlining their own shows at various venues across Sydney.
April 2005 saw the release of their debut EP,
produced by Sean Boucher (Cog, 3 Pt Tilt).
2007 sees the recording of a 5-track
